With her comfortable seating, tables and chairs, the Passenger Ship "Mandolin" offers relaxed cruising or a party atmosphere for up to 50 passengers.
The spacious saloon with its panoramic windows affords excellent views all round and there are several cruising routes to choose from, including passage through Orton Lock on trips over 3 hours. Commentaries are available by request.
Our well stocked bar is open at all times with a good selection of beers, lagers, spirits and wine as well as tea, coffee and a variety of soft drinks and packet snacks. Prices are much the same as typical pub prices. Champagne, Sparkling Wine and even Real Ale is available to special order.
You can pre-book food from a wide choice of menus to suit your needs, or self cater for a small supplement. If you want something different or special or a vegetarian option, just ask. You are welcome to bring on board your 'celebration cake' for a special occasion, without charge.
If you want to party, we can arrange the tables and chairs to give you a dance floor and our powerful sound system will make things go with a swing. It's also available, of course, as a public address system or for background music. You can use our radio microphone for talks or speeches…..even karaoke! And if you want to have organised entertainment on board, just ask!
Your charter gives you exclusive use of our fully crewed boat, for as long as you choose. A small unisex flush toilet complete with hot & cold hand wash completes the facilities available.
No Smoking
For the comfort, health and safety of our guests, there is NO SMOKING on board at any time. However, there are several place along the routes where we can stop if need be for guests to get off; and up to 4 people at a time are welcome on the private, open-air rear deck with the Captain, where smoking
is permitted.
